The Danish Commerce and Companies Agency (DCCA) is an Agency under The Minister of Economic and Business Affairs (Deputy Primeminister) Lene Espersen. See also the webpage of the Ministery of Economic and Business Affairs.
The DCCA is the official place of registration for Danish Businesses. In parallel the DCCA administers legislations regulating Businesses, amongst others the Companies Act and the Company Accounts Act. Registration and publication of business information favours the free market and provides businesses with good basic conditions. An easy and quick access to registration and an effective but flexible administration of the legislation is at the same time the basis of the DCCA´s important role in the national effort to reduce the administrative burdens.
We are approx. 275 people employed in the DCCA. We work on two levels:
Vertically in the specific field of expertise in our formal organization
The board of Directors
Business center
Center for Customer Contact
Division for better Business Regulation
Center for coordination and marketing of Virk.dk
Administration department
Internal service and procurement
Horizontally through a project organisation
The DCCA has at any given time 30-40 active projects. The projects are co-ordinated in the Project Forum – an independent body with a number of managers and directors. A typical project is managed by a project manager, who is responsible to the Project Forum and independent of the personal daily manager.
The resource (time and material) used during the project is managed by the project manager, who reports monthly to the Project Forum.
In 2004 about 40 per cent of the budgeted resources were used by the project organisation.
